Cai Taylor

Lab manager
Research assistant

I came to UBC as a graduate of Toronto Metropolitan University with an MA in Child and Youth Care, where I dedicated my time to a research project analyzing the implications of mistrust between Canadian East Asians and mental health services. As an undergrad psych student at UBC, I have worked in various capacities on several research projects at The Emotion and Self Lab. As a directed studies student, I participated in a project examining how experiences of discrimination shape existential meaning. I am also dedicating my time to another project looking into how discussions about Canadian national pride influence attitudes toward Indigenous reconciliation.

When I’m not at the lab, doing research, or studying, I pack a bag and a cup of coffee and head up the mountains for a hike!

Feel free to contact me by email with your CV and a copy of your unofficial transcript if you’d like to work with the Emotion & Self Lab at (emoselflab@psych.ubc.ca).
